These terms govern your use of our digital platform and membership services. By using our services, you agree to these terms.


1. Membership Terms

1.1 Application and Approval

Membership applications are subject to committee approval. The committee reserves the right to accept or reject any application at its discretion. All applicants must provide accurate information and obtain a reference from an existing member.

1.2 Membership Fees

Membership fees are set annually by the committee and are non-refundable except in exceptional circumstances at the committee's discretion. Fees must be paid in full before membership is activated.

1.3 Membership Duration

Membership is valid for one calendar year from the date of payment. Members must renew annually to maintain active membership status.

1.4 Code of Conduct

Members must:

  • Comply with all club rules and bylaws
  • Respect riparian landowners and their property
  • Follow all fishing regulations and conservation requirements
  • Treat other members and visitors with respect
  • Carry valid membership card when fishing

Breach of these terms may result in membership suspension or termination.


2. Digital Platform Usage

2.1 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your membership token URL. Do not share your token with others. If you lose access to your token, use the recovery system on our website.

2.2 Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the platform for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the platform or other members' accounts
  • Upload malicious code or attempt to disrupt the platform
  • Impersonate other members or the club
  • Use automated systems to access the platform without permission

2.3 Content Accuracy

You are responsible for ensuring the information you provide (including contact details and photographs) is accurate and up to date. You must notify us promptly of any changes.


3. Boat Bookings

3.1 Booking Terms

Boat bookings are subject to availability and club rules:

  • Booking fee is non-refundable
  • Maximum 2 consecutive days when booking in advance
  • One weekend booking per 30-day period (exceptions apply for same-day bookings)
  • Maximum occupancy: 3 persons
  • Motor limit: 20hp (insurance requirement)

3.2 Cancellation and Rescheduling

Bookings are non-refundable. The committee may reschedule bookings in exceptional circumstances (e.g., severe weather, river closure). Members cannot reschedule bookings themselves.

3.3 Liability

Use of the club boat is at your own risk. The club is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from boat use. You must have valid insurance and comply with all safety requirements.


4. Day Permits

4.1 Permit Terms

Day permits allow non-members to fish club waters for a single day:

  • Permits are valid only for the date specified
  • Daily limit: 8 permits per day (first come, first served)
  • Permits are non-refundable except if the river is closed by the club
  • Permit holders must carry proof of permit when fishing

4.2 Cancellation

If the club closes the river (e.g., due to high water temperature), day permit holders will receive a full refund.


5. Payments

5.1 Payment Processing

Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your card details. All payments are subject to Stripe's terms of service.

5.2 Refunds

Membership fees are non-refundable except in exceptional circumstances. Boat booking fees are non-refundable. Day permit refunds are only available if the river is closed by the club.

5.3 Failed Payments

If a payment fails, your membership or booking will not be activated. You must resolve payment issues before access is granted.


6. Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of our platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We process your personal data in accordance with GDPR and our privacy policy.


7. Intellectual Property

All content on this platform (including logos, text, images, and software) is the property of Trim, Athboy & District Angling Association or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without permission.


8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • The club is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • The club's total liability is limited to the amount you paid for membership or services
  • The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified to members. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.


10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the platform if you breach these terms or club rules. You may terminate your membership at any time by notifying the committee.


11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by Irish law. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
