How to Review Applications

Committee members can review and vote on new member applications.

Accessing Applications:

  • Log in to the admin panel

  • Navigate to "Applications" in the sidebar

  • View all pending applications
  • Reviewing Applications:

  • View applicant details (name, address, contact)

  • Check angling background and experience

  • See referee status (if provided)

  • Review day permit history (if applicable)
  • Voting Process:

  • Committee members can vote "Approve" or "Reject"

  • Applications need majority approval

  • Admin makes final approval decision

  • System sends setup link to applicant

  • Applicant completes setup (photo, payment)

  • Member record created automatically

    Treasurers can record cash payments received from members.

    Recording Cash Payments:

  • Log in to admin panel

  • Navigate to "Billing" → "Record Payment"

  • Search for member by name or member number

  • Enter payment details:

    - Payment method (cash)
    - Notes (optional)

  • Cash Workflow:

  • Received: Cash received from member

  • Treasurer: Recorded by treasurer

  • Banked: Marked as banked when deposited

    How to Book a Boat

    Club members can book the club boat for fishing trips.

    Booking Process:

  • Access your membership card via your personal link

  • Click "Book Boat" or navigate to bookings

  • Select your preferred date

  • Complete payment for the booking fee (€10)

  • You'll receive confirmation and padlock code via email
  • Booking Rules:

  • Bookings can be made up to 30 days in advance

  • Maximum consecutive days per booking (check current rules)

  • Booking fee must be paid to confirm

    How to Buy a Day Permit

    Non-members can purchase day permits to fish club waters.

    Purchase Process:

  • Visit /permits on the club website

  • Select permit type (trout, salmon, etc.)

  • Choose your fishing date

  • Complete payment online

  • Receive permit confirmation via email
  • Permit Types:

  • Trout permit

  • Salmon permit (when in season)

    How to Access Your Membership Card

    Your membership card is accessed via a personal link sent to your email address.

    Finding Your Link:

  • Check your email inbox for messages from Trim Athboy Anglers

  • Look for emails titled "Welcome" or "Membership Renewal"

  • The link will look like: members.trimathboyanglers.net/[your-token]
  • No Login Required:

  • You don't need a password or username

  • Your personal link is your identity

  • Bookmark the link for easy access

    Visit /recover and enter your member number and date of birth to receive a new link via email.

    First Time Setup After Approval

    After your membership application is approved, you'll receive an email with a setup link.

    Setup Process:

  • Click the link in your approval email

  • Take a photo (selfie) for your membership card

  • Complete payment for your membership fee

  • Your digital membership card will be ready immediately

  • A device with a camera (phone, tablet, or computer)

  • A payment method (card or bank account)

  • About 5 minutes
  • After Setup:

  • You'll receive your membership card link

  • You can add the card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet for offline access

    Adding your membership card to your phone's wallet allows you to access it offline, even without internet connection.

    For iPhone (Apple Wallet):

  • Open your membership card link on your iPhone

  • Look for the "Add to Apple Wallet" button

  • Your card will appear in the Wallet app

    How to Renew Your Membership

    Membership renewal is simple and can be done online.

    Renewal Process:

  • You'll receive an email with your renewal link before your membership expires

  • Click the link to access your membership card page

  • Click "Renew Membership" button

  • Complete payment online

  • Your card will be updated automatically
  • When to Renew:

  • Renewal emails are sent before the start of each fishing season

  • You can renew anytime before your membership expires

  • Early renewal ensures uninterrupted access
  • Payment:

  • Pay securely online via Stripe

  • Credit card, debit card, or bank transfer accepted

  • You'll receive a confirmation email after payment
  • After Renewal:

  • Your card will show the new expiry date

  • A new wallet pass will be issued (if you use one)

  • What Happens When Membership Expires

    If your membership expires, you'll lose access to club waters and services.

    After Expiry:

  • Your membership card will show as expired

  • You cannot book boats or access club waters

  • You'll need to renew to regain access

  • Late renewals may require committee approval

    - The last 4 digits of your phone number
  • Click "Send Recovery Email"

  • Check your email inbox for your card link
  • Security:

  • We use generic error messages for security

  • If details don't match, you'll see a generic error

  • This prevents people from checking if member numbers exist
  • Rate Limiting:

  • Limited to 5 recovery attempts per hour

  • If you exceed the limit, wait an hour and try again

    Keeping your contact details up to date ensures you receive important club communications.
