No Fishing - Out of Season
The trout fishing season is currently closed. Fishing is not permitted until 1st March 2026.

River Boyne Day Permit
Purchase a day permit to fish on club waters on the River Boyne (Trim stretch). Permits are valid for the selected date only and must be presented on request by a water keeper, landowner, or committee member.

Trout Season
1st March – 30th September
No fishing for trout is permitted outside these dates.

By purchasing a permit, you agree to abide by these rules.
Catch Limits
- •Brown trout: 2 fish max (catch & release encouraged)
- •Minimum size: 25cm (10 inches)
- •Pike: Catch & release only
Permitted Methods
- ✓Fly fishing and spinning
- ✓Artificial flies and lures
Prohibited
- ✗Live fish as bait
- ✗Maggots or larvae
- ✗Fishing outside season dates
Requirements
- •Carry permit at all times
- •Show permit to water keepers and landowners on request
- •Respect landowners and other anglers
- •Take all litter home
The club accepts no responsibility for injury, loss or damage. Anglers fish at their own risk. Valid State Fishing Licence required where applicable.
Club Members: Day permits are for non-members only. Your membership card gives you access to all club waters on the River Boyne.
